Coaching Philosophy
Rosemont College men's basketball will begin its inaugural season in 2009. As the first head coach of this historic team, I plan to set a tone that will lead to much success for the program and its players. I, along with my team, will work hard to make Rosemont men's basketball competitive from day one. It is my intention not to just field a team, but to field a winning team. Every coach wants to win and I intend to coach to win.
My players will work hard, be fundamentally sound and play as a team. Members of my team will have a love the game, understand it's strategy and be dedicated to getting better everyday. I want players who understand the saying that teams are made from October to March and that players are made from March to October.
I want my players to feel the same sense of excitement on gameday that I felt when I was a player. Playing college sports is a privilege and should be approached with pride, energy and enthusiasm. Respect for the game and being a collegiate athlete is a must in one of my players.
Opponents who play us will remember Rosemont basketball for its intensity and hustle. We will be mentally tough on the court and gentlemen everywhere else. As a former Division III student-athlete, I fully believe in the complete student-athlete. My players will get both an education on and off the court.
The members of the Rosemont Men's Basketball Team will be student-athletes who will take pride in playing at Rosemont College.
