Ryan Tozer steps in as the first head coach for the inaugural men’s basketball program and season.  He comes to Rosemont after serving as the assistant coach at Holy Family University for two years. There, he was in charge of recruitment and scouting and in coaching was responsible for offensive/defensive breakdowns and guard development. 

Tozer began his coaching career at Interboro High School as the assistant men’s basketball coach where he assisted the team in pre-season practice and conditioning. From there, he went on to take a position on the La Salle University’s men’s basketball staff. There, he worked on scouting and video reviews for the team, helping them in finishing 18-10 in the 2005-06 season and placing third in the Atlantic-10 Conference. 

As a player, Tozer was third all-time leading scorer at Eastern University with 1268 career points and was an all-conference selection all four years of his collegiate career. 

Tozer received his Bachelor’s degree from Eastern University and his Masters of Education from Holy Family. He currently teaches math at John L Kinsey Middle School and resides in Norwood, Pa.

Assistant Coach: Lewis Garrison (1st season)

Lewis Garrison will also join Tozer as one of three assistants for the 2009-2010 season. Graduating from Millersville University in 1977 with a Bachelor’s in Industrial Materials, Garrison began teaching at his alma mater Interboro High School. There, he took on the head coaching position for the junior varsity boy’s basketball squad before stepping into the head position of the varsity team in 1979.

After a couple of years, Garrison moved on to coach at several other high schools including Conestoga, Ridley and Springfield. He even served as the assistant for the Swarthmore College varsity men’s team from 1981-1984.

In 1996, he came back to Interboro as the head coach of the varsity team and served in that position until 2007.

Currently, Garrison is still teaching at Interboro High School. He resides in Folsom, Pa.

Assistant Coach: Vincent Clark (1st season)

Vincent Clark also joins Tozer as his assistant for the 2009-2010 season. A 2004 Arcadia University graduate, Clark was a four year letter winner for the men’s basketball team. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.     

Clark began his coaching career at his alma mater, Ridley High School, in 2003 as the head coach for the boy’s basketball freshman team. Over the next five years he not only served in that position, but also assisted the varsity program.Clark is also active for The Hoop Group. Of the summer months he serves as an instructional staff member for its camps and clinics at The College of New Jersey.

Currently he works for Temple University for its Pan African Studies Community Education program as a course facilitator. He resides in Philadelphia, Pa.

Assistant Coach: Joe Corbett (1st season)

Joseph Corbett rounds out Tozer’s assistants. Corbett graduated from Hobart College in 2003 with a degree in International Relations. While there, he lettered in men’s basketball all four years. He was named Rookie of the Year in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association (UCAA) for the 1999-2000 season and followed that up in 2001 by being named UCAA Player of the Year. He was also a three time NABC East Region All-American.

Following his stellar collegiate career, Corbett played in the Danish Professional League as captain of Amager’s Basketball Club. He also coached two club teams there. After coming back, he took the position of assistant basketball coach for Cardinal Dougherty High School, a position which he still holds. 

In addition to assisting Coach Tozer, Corbett is also the head coach for the Rosemont College women's volleyball team.

Corbett is currently a Spanish teacher for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He resides in Philadelphia.
