Monahan enters her first season as Rosemont’s head field hockey coach. 

Monohan graduated from LaFayette College in Easton with a degree in Economics and Business. While there, she was starter on the varsity field hockey team and co-captain.  In her senior year, Monahan led the nation in goals scored (33) and points (80) and was named the Patriot League’s Offensive Player of the Year, a first team all-Patriot League selection, first team all-ECAC selection, the Patriot League Tournament MVP, and the top field hockey player by the Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. In addition, Monahan played in the Division I North/South All-Star game and her career goals (65) and points (128) still remain the highest in Patriot League history. She also broke every school and conference offensive record in the process.  In addition, she worked many field hockey camps including USA Field Hockey Camp, Eastern Field Hockey Camp and Blue Hen Camp at the University of Delaware.
After graduating, she served as assistant field hockey coach at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. There she wore many different hats including aiding in player development and practice preparation and heading recruiting and developing alumni communications. She helped lead the team to the championships for the first time in eight years. She served in that position from 2004-2007.
She returned to the Philadelphia area in 2006 and helped the West Chester field hockey program as an assistant. There, she developed and led individual offensive drills and organized recruiting correspondence and prepared game video editing. 
She currently works for Accenture in Philadelphia as a consulting analyst. She resides in Conshohocken.
