ROSEMONT– Despite eight kills and 10 digs from junior co-captain Karen Boyle (Swarthmore/Archbishop Prendergast), the Rosemont College women’s volleyball dropped a conference match 3-0 to Cedar Crest College Wednesday night. This loss drops the Ravens to 5-9 overall and 0-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference while the Falcons improve to 6-9 and 3-2 respectively.

In both set one and two, the Ravens fought back after early Cedar Crest leads to level the points, but could not push past. Cedar Crest just edged them out winning both sets 25-21.

The Falcons went on an 8-1 run to open set three before Rosemont could answer back. The deficit proved to be too much and they fell 25-17.

As a team, the Ravens compiled 13 kills, four service aces and 42 digs to Cedar Crest’s 30, one and 34.

For the Falcons, Mackenzie Lee led with 12 kills. Lauren Seale led in digs with 10 and assists with 23.
