Lauren Feeny Named Volleyball Head Coach

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Lauren Feeny has accepted the position of Head Coach of the Rosemont College volleyball team. Feeny takes over the reins of the team effective immediately.

Feeny’s first varsity coaching position was at the Country Day School of the Sacred Heart (Bryn Mawr, PA). At the end of the 2012-2013 season, the program won a District One Championship with a 16-5 overall record.

Feeny was the Founder and President of the Washington College Women’s Club Volleyball team after playing volleyball in her undergraduate years at Washington College. In club volleyball she was involved in player recruitment, establishing practice and game schedules, training players, structuring practices, and evaluating players’ skill levels.

On the court, Feeny was an outside hitter (OH) for the Shorewomen of Washington College for four seasons.  Feeny was named the Centennial Conference Volleyball Player of the Week within the first week of eligibility for the award.  She was named as the first freshman Washington College Volleyball player to earn Centennial Conference Player of the Week honors.  Feeny’s highest hitting percentage was recorded at .556.

Coach Feeny most recently graduated with a M.Ed. in Multicultural Education from Eastern University after earning her B.S. in Biology from Washington College (Maryland).  She will be starting her Doctoral Degree this fall with Immaculata University.
