ROSEMONT, Pa. – On Monday night Rosemont sophomore Liz Coyne (West Chester, Pa./Downingtown West) became the eighth woman (9th overall) to enter Rosemont’s 1,000-Point Club, and is the first student-athlete to reach the 1,000-point milestone in only her second season of competition. Coyne’s 1,000th point came as she sank a free throw with 8:40 remaining in the first half in the CSAC Quarterfinal game against Keystone College.
Coyne, recently voted to the All-CSAC First Team, entered the game needing only three points to reach the milestone. She ended up scoring 26 points to lead both teams and ended her sophomore campaign scoring career-to-date 1,023 points.
