Pedone Named to All-CSAC Honorable Mention Team for Softball

ASTON, Pa. – Rosemont sophomore shortstop Gianna Pedone (Haddon Township, NJ) was named to the All-CSAC Honorable Mention Softball Team for the 2013 season.

Pedone led the Ravens at the plate this season. Starting in all 32 games, Pedone batted .424 with a slugging percentage of .659. She led Rosemont in home runs (3), doubles (11), RBI (19) and walks (11). Striking out only seven times all season (85 at-bats) she had a .490 on-base percentage. On the base paths she stole three bases in three attempts. In the CSAC rankings she finished 9th in batting average.

Pedone’s 2013 stats picked right up from her successful 2012 season when she batted .471 and had an on-base percentage of .511 with a slugging percentage of .678, striking out only four times in 32 games (87 at-bats).

Of note, Pedone became the first Rosemont softball player to be named to an all-conference team since 2007, when Heather Kocher was named to the All-PAC Honorable Mention team.
