RAMBLERS DROP TWO TO NEUMANN IN LAST HOME GAMES OF SEASON

ROSEMONT- The Rosemont softball team dropped two to conference leaders Neumann College Friday 0-12, 0-16. This loss drops the team to 1-24 overall and 1-19 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
In game one, strong pitching from the Knights’ staff held the Ramblers to just three hits and no runs. Senior Angela Sebasto (Trenton, N.J./McCorristin) recorded the victory pitching three innings striking out eight and allowing only one hit.
Sophomores Karen Boyle (Swarthmore/Arch. Prendergast) and Heather Daneker (New Cumberland/Cedar Cliff), and junior Adriann Demchenko (Philadelphia/George Washington) all collected a hit in the game.
It was the same in game two, with the Ramblers only getting one hit, a blooper to left off the bat of sophomore Kris Muff (Upper Darby/Arch. Prendergast).
Offensively, the Knights had a day, racking up 32 hits and 28 runs, 16 of which were earned.
This game was also the last for Rosemont’s three lone seniors: co-captain Jessica Muff (Upper Darby/Arch. Prendergast), Emily Montanez (Philadelphia/Frankford) and co-captain Abby Schwartz (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddon Twp.)
Rosemont will end their season on Saturday, April 25th when they take on Gwynedd Mercy College in conference action at 12pm in Gwynedd, Pa.
