RAVENS DROP FIRST CONFERENCE MATCH OF SEASON

ROSEMONT –The Rosemont College women’s tennis team broke a five game winning streak losing 6-3 to Cedar Crest College Wednesday. This loss drops the Ravens to 5-4 overall and 5-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference while the Falcons improve to 10-3 and 6-1 respectively.

Senior co-captain Priyanka Reddy (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) was in good form taking her first singles match 6-1, 6-1. She and first doubles partner Olesya Kuchma (St. Davids/Radnor) won 8-4 bringing their season record to 7-1. Reddy remains perfect on the season with a 9-0 record.

Kuchma rounded out the winners with a straight sets victory (6-1, 6-0) at second singles. She improves to 7-2 in her singles record.

Rosemont now drops to 6-10 in head to head competition with the Falcons.

The Ravens will next travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College to take on the conference leader on Friday, October 2nd. The match will begin at 3:30pm.
