RAVENS END SEASON WITH 4-0 LOSS TO KEYSTONE

ROSEMONT-Keystone forward Lori-Ann Marino scored the game winner as the Rosemont College field hockey team lost 4-0 to Keystone College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action Saturday. The Ravens now drop to 1-12 overall and 1-7 in the CSAC while the Giants improve to 13-2 and 8-0 respectively.

Marino opened up the scoring in the 20th minute off a pass from Whitney Hubsham. The Rosemont defense tightened up and didn’t allow any more goals going into the half down one.

Raven goalkeeper Chelsea Reeve collected 29 saves, a career and season high.  In total, the Giants got off 37 shots. Senior Mary Kate Dugan (Upper Darby) recorded a defensive save on the day.

Keystone junior Katie Butzer added back to back goals in the second, the first off a pass from Kelsey Drozda and the second from Brackney Brotzman. 

The Giants scored their final goal in the 69th when Samantha Morgan put a ball in from Kellina Yarrish. Goalkeeper Melinda Moore recorded the shut out, tallying three saves off of three shots.

At the end of the match, the Ravens honored their five seniors: Co-captain Liz Kemp (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown), Alex Benfold (Cherry Hill, N.J./Bishop Eustace) Dugan, Lindley Rittweger (Newburgh, N.Y./Newburgh), and Laura Kyle (Doylestown/C.B. East).

This concludes the Ravens season.
