RAVENS LOSE IN OVERTIME 1-2 TO MARYWOOD

SCRANTON - Despite a goal from first year Rodney Aguirre (Hammonton), the Rosemont College men's soccer team dropped a Colonial States Athletic Conference match against Marywood University Saturday 2-1. The game was forced into overtime after ending 1-1 in regulation, with the Pacers coming out victorious scoring in the 3rd minute. This loss drops the team to 5-8 overall and 3-5 in the CSAC.
Rosemont opened up the scoring in the 8th minute when Aguirre headed a free kick into the net off a pass from first year co-captain Sergio Martinez (Allentown). They would hold the lead until the Pacers equalized in the 37th. A scorelsss second half sent the game into overtime where Marywood wasted no time to clinch the victory.
Raven goalkeeper Ron Vogelei (Bensalem) notched eight saves off of 14 Marywood shots.
Rosemont will next host Centenary College on Tuesday, October 27th at 4pm in their final home and conference game of the season.
