Ravens Participate in D3 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic

ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Rosemont College men's basketball team will be participating in the D3 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic hosted by Neumann University on Saturday, November 30th.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of coaches nationwide. The program seeks to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living among students, faculty and staff, fans, and the community at large.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program empowers coaches, their teams, and communities to join the fight against cancer by participating in awareness efforts, advocacy programs, and fundraising activities. Guided by the Coaches vs. Cancer Council, participating coaches help people with cancer today and to find cures to end the disease tomorrow, and have raised more than $87 million to help the American Cancer Society’s mission.

Rosemont is one of six teams that will be participating at this event, joining Rowan University, Widener University, Cabrini College, Richard Stockton College and host Neumann University.

The starting times for the games on November 30th will be as follows:

  • 12:00pm: Rowan vs. Rosemont
  • 2:15pm: Widener vs. Cabrini
  • 4:30pm: Richard Stockton vs. Neumann

In lieu of ticket sales, a donation of $5 per adult would be greatly appreciated. All money riased will go towards Coaches vs. Cancer.
