2009-08-30 13:25

ROSEMONT – The Rosemont College Athletic Department held a mascot and athletic identity unveiling ceremony at Alumnae Hall Gym on the campus this Sunday, August 30th. The ceremony began at 1:15 p.m. following the annual Mass of the Holy Spirit at 10 a.m. and All-College Convocation Ceremony at 11:30 a.m.

The new mascot and athletic identity come after Rosemont embarked on a massive strategic planning initiative during the 2008-2009 year following the decision to transition to co-education in 2009-2010. The new mascot and athletic identity will serve for the entire institution and athletics department.

Rosemont unveiled the new mascot and athletic identity by showing off the newly painted gymnasium following a ribbon cutting ceremony. President Sharon Latchaw Hirsh, Ph. D. ‘70 and Athletic Director Lynn Rothenhoefer presided over the event. All friends and members of the Rosemont College Community were welcome and encouraged to attend.
