ROSEMONT –The Rosemont College women’s tennis team lost a tough match 7-2 to conference leader Gwynedd Mercy College Friday. This loss drops the Ravens to 5-5 overall and 5-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Senior co-captain Priyanka Reddy (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) proved once against she’s the one to beat, defeating her first singles opponent 6-1, 6-2. Reddy is still undefeated at first singles with a 10-0 record.
First year Olesya Kuchma (St. Davids/Radnor) was the other winner of the evening. She played a super set due to fading light and defeated her second singles opponent 8-6.
The Ravens will next travel to Neumann University Tuesday, October 6th. The match will begin at 3:30pm.
