ROSEMONT FALLS TO KNIGHTS 2-0

GLENSIDE - Despite nine saves from first year goalkeeper Ron Vogelei (Bensalem), the Rosemont College men's soccer team dropped a non-conference match to Arcadia University 2-0 Monday afternoon. This loss drops the Ravens to 3-6 overall.
Arcadia opened up the scoring in the 29th minute of play when the Rosemont defense committed a foul just outside the box. Junior Joe Clemente sent a laser into the the top corner of the goal to give the Knights a 1-0 lead.
The Ravens counter attacked and had their best scoring opportunity of the afternoon when first year Freddy Aguirre (Hammonton/Oakcrest) got off an open shot that skipped off the hands of Arcadia's keeper but was cleared right at the line by a defenseman.
The Knights dominated play in the second half allowing few scoring opportunities for Rosemont. They scored their second goal in the 80th minute.
The Ravens recorded three shots, two on goal, for the day.
Next up, they travel to Immaculata University for a conference match on Saturday, October 10th at 2pm.
