ROSEMONT MAKES IT TWO IN A ROW

KING OF PRUSSIA - After several weather delays, the Rosemont College tennis team defeated Cabrini College 6-3 in Colonial States Athletic Conference action Saturday.  This is the first time in 10 years Rosemont has defeated Cabrini.  The last time came on September 28th, 1999 when they won 7-2.  The Ravens improve to 2-3 overall and stay a perfect 2-0 in conference play.

After dropping two of three doubles matches, Rosemont bounced back and dominated singles winning all but one match.  This win keeps the team in the top four of the CSAC.

Senior captain Priyanka Reddy (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) had a strong showing at first singles defeating her opponent 6-1, 6-0.  She improves to 5-0 at first singles on the season.  

First year Olesya Kuchma (St. Davids, Pa./Radnor) won at second singles 6-3, 6-1.  Reddy and Kuchma had a tough first doubles match and came up just short losing 8-6.

First year Barbara Lally (Philadelphia/Penn Charter) fought back after dropping the first set to win 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 at fifth singles. 

First years Kate Clarkson (Bensalem) and Lauren Rivera (Penn Valley/Harriton) both win their fourth (6-2, 6-0) and sixth singles (6-2, 6-3) matches respectively in straight sets.

First year Karis Coad (Baltimore, Md./Clarkstown South) had a tough three set match at third singles and just missed the win at 4-6, 6-0, 10-6.

The Ravens will look to make it three in a row as they take on College of Notre Dame in conference action on Tuesday, September 15th at 3:30pm.  It will be at Rosemont.
