ROSEMONT– With the help of six kills and eight digs from first year Robin Renodo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Laughlin), the Rosemont College volleyball team swept Trinity University (DC) 25-15, 25-17, 25-9 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. This win improves the Ravens to 4-8 overall.
As a team, Rosemont committed only six errors the entire game, a season low as well as racking up 20 kills and 16 service aces.
Junior co-captains Christa Bednarek (Philadelphia/St. Basils) and Karen Boyle (Swarthmore/Arch. Prendergast) had four kills each. Bednarek led the team in assists with 12 as well as notching four service aces and nine digs. Boyle had two service aces and four digs.
Rosemont will next travel to College of St. Elizabeths for another non-conference match on Monday, October 5 at 7pm.
