ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Rosemont College Athletic Department has named Kate Corcoran the new Assistant Director of Athletics. “I’m pleased to welcome Kate to the department,” said Athletic Director Lynn Rothenhoefer. “She brings a strong background to the position and I have no doubt she will do well and bring a wealth of knowledge and ideas to the table.”
Corcoran comes to Rosemont after having served as Compliance Officer, Senior Women’s Administrator and Sports Information Director at Penn State University, Berks Campus. She handled many different aspects of the athletics department including media relations, game day management, website and compliance for the 12 varsity sports programs. In addition, she served as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Vice-Chair of the Senior Women’s Administrators Committee and helped usher the institution to full NCAA Division III status.
Corcoran is no stranger to the Colonial States Athletic Conference either. She served as the Facilities Director and Assistant to the Athletic Director at Cabrini College. During her time there, she also was the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach.
Corcoran is a graduate of DeSales University. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management and Business Administration in 2000 and lettered in women’s basketball all four years.
