Carter and Chaney Named to All-CSAC Honors

ASTON, Pa. – Seniors Derrick Carter (Port Norris, NJ/Millville) and Justin Chaney (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) were named to All-CSAC teams for the 2012-2013 season. Carter was named to the Second Team All-CSAC and Chaney was named to the CSAC Sportsmanship Team.

Carter had a standout season for the Ravens, setting career program-highs for field goal percentage (47.5%) and scoring average (12.8). He ended up finishing in the top three for points, field goals made, field goals attempted, free throws made, rebounds and blocked shots average in his career. This season he set new program marks in a single season for points, blocked shots, field goals made and field goal percentage. He also set a single-game record for rebounds (17).

Chaney, named to the Sportsmanship Team, was also an accomplished player at Rosemont. He leaves the program as its leading career scorer, being the first man to reach the 1,000 point plateau (1,031 points). Chaney holds career program records in assists, three-point field goals, three-point shooting percentage, free throws attempted and free throws made. The All-Sportsmanship team is comprised of one member from each CSAC institution's team that has displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season. Each institution's coach nominates the student-athlete to be named to the team.
