First year Elizabeth Coyne of West Chester, Pa. was selected as the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Rookie-of-the-Year for Women’s Basketball in the 2011-2012 season.
Coyne, who played high school basketball at Downingtown West, completed a sterling season in her first campaign in the NCAA.
The 5-10 forward had a big year for the Ravens, placing in the top-10 in the conference in four different categories. Coyne finished second in scoring (18.8 pts/gm), fifth in field goal percentage (.478/183-for-382), sixth in rebounding (9.2 reb/gm), and tenth in free-throw shooting (.681/98-for-144). She recorded 11 double-doubles on the year, while her 18.8 points per game were also good for 27th in the nation at the NCAA Division-III classification.
