ROSEMONT, Pa.. – Freshman Dean Grisoff and junior Ron Vogelei were named to the All-CSAC Honorable Mention Team and All-Sportsmanship Team respectively.
Grisoff was credited with a massive 193 ground balls this season, averaging 13.79 per game. The ground balls/game number is thought to be the second best ever achieved by a men’s lacrosse player nationally in NCAA Division III since the statistic started being archived in 2006. Grisoff also took over 95% of the team’s face-offs, winning 189 of 406 for a win percentage of .466. Grisoff scored 17 goals and had four assists (21 points) on 101 shots (41 on goal).
Vogelei was selected to be Rosemont’s representative on the CSAC All-Sportsmanship team. The All-Sportsmanship team is comprised of one member from each CSAC institution’s team that has displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season. Each institution’s coach nominates the student-athlete to be named to the team. In addition to his good sportsmanship, Vogelei was also a valued player on the field, scoring seven goals with six assists for 13 points. His 65 ground balls ranked 2nd for the team.
