Lauren Whelan Named to NSCAA Third Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region

KANSAS CITY, Kan.:  Freshman striker Lauren Whelan has earned All-Region honors for the 2012 season by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Whelan was voted Third Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region.

Whelan, a First Team All-CSAC selection and the 2012 CSAC Rookie of the Year, burst onto the scene during her freshman season.  She led the conference in both goals (18) and points (41), while finishing with five assists, fourth most in the conference.  Four of her goals were game-winners for the Ravens, who advanced to the CSAC quarterfinals.
