Robert Day Joins Rosemont Athletics as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Rosemont College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Robert F. Day, Jr. has been named as their new Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.

The hiring of Day continues to enforce Rosemont’s determination that a Head Strength & Conditioning Coach is needed to better prepare their student-athletes for the rigors of their sport, to help reduce the risk of injury and to help ensure that Rosemont’s student-athletes to perform at their peak.

Coach Day’s most recent experience comes from his employment as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at the Summit Sports Training Center in Villanova, Pa. His responsibilities at Summit Sports included designing individual strength and conditioning programs, testing and evaluation of athletes, supervising, critiquing and improving exercise technique for athletes, coaching speed, agility and plyometric training.

Day had also worked as a Volunteer Strength & Conditioning Coach at Lynchburg College where he supervised, critiqued and improved exercise techniques for student-athletes in the weight room.

On the field, Coach Day was an Assistant Coach for Penn Premier (Spring City, Pa.) and LB3 Lacrosse Clubs (Upper Dublin, Pa.) from 2009-2012.

He is certified with the NCSA-Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and the American Red Cross CPR & AED.

Coach Day resides in Doylestown, Pa., and he received his BS degree from Lynchburg College (Lynchburg, Va.) majoring in Exercise Physiology.
