ROSEMONT – The Rosemont College Athletic Department announced the decision to add men’s soccer and tennis on top of men’s basketball to the varsity program for the 2009-10 school year Friday. This decision comes on the heels of the momentous and historical decision to change to a co-education institution made in June of 2008.
Planning and implementation of the two programs will begin immediately starting with the hiring of head coaches. Men’s soccer will begin its season in the fall of 2009 while men’s tennis will start in the Spring of 2010.
With these additions, the 2009-10 season will see the programs of men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s volleyball, field hockey, softball and women’s lacrosse all competing in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Any interested applicants for the positions of head coach can visit the Rosemont website at www.rosemont.edu to find out more and apply.
