Women's Soccer Represented in CSAC End-of-Season Awards

ASTON, Pa. – The Rosemont College women's soccer team's successful second season of competition was reflected in the end-of-season CSAC awards for the 2012 season.

Lauren Whelan was selected as the CSAC Rookie-of-the-Year and was named to the CSAC First Team. Whelan ended her freshman campaign leading her team in goals scored (17), second on the team in assists (5), first in points (39), first in shots (61) first in shots on goal (39) and in game-winning goals (4). She finished in the conference top ten in shots (4th), shots per game (2nd), goals (1st), points per game (1st), goals (1st), goals per game (1st), assists (6th) and game winning goals (1st).

Amanda Botbyl was selected to the CSAC Second Team. Botbyl, one of only two graduating seniors on the squad, scored four goals and had seven assists this season. On her team, Botbyl placed 2nd in goals, first in assists, second in points, second in shots and second in shots on goal. In the CSAC she finished in the top ten in points (9th), points per game (9th), assists (1st) and assists per game (1st).

Kerry Hars was named by Head Coach Aaron Tritch as Rosemont's representative on the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team for women's soccer. The All-Sportsmanship team is comprised of one member from each CSAC institution's team that has displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season. Each institution's coach nominates the student-athlete to be named to the team.
