ZIMMERMAN NAMED CSAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROSEMONT- First year Becky Zimmerman (Lebanon/Annville Cleona) was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference’s Softball Player of the Week for the week ending March 29, 2009. Zimmerman hit .727 (eight for 11) with three doubles and a triple and knocking in seven RBIs. Her offensive effort helped the Ramblers score the most runs in a single game in the school’s history with 23 against Lincoln University.

On the season, Zimmerman is hitting a team-leading .500 (11 for 22) with a slugging percentage of .727 and an on-base percentage of .607. She has a total of four doubles. In the field, she has a fielding percentage of .791 and has 22 putouts.

This is Zimmerman’s first player of the week honor for the season.
